About
I've been passionate about photography since my early teens, during a time when digital photography was still largely unknown.
In 2005, while studying fine arts, I purchased my first 8×10 camera—an Ansco wooden field camera—and soon after upgraded to a Sinar F2. Working with large format photography fundamentally transformed the way I see, think, and compose images.
In 2009, motivated by the need for a lighter, more mobile system, I built my own 8×10 field camera. The primary challenge was weight. Drawing on my training in composite materials, I designed a carbon composite camera that weighed just 1.5 kg, which I used for the next fifteen years.
In 2024, I embarked on a comprehensive redesign, transforming the system into a professional, production-ready camera. The Kupper Zehn encapsulates my 20 years of experience, offering other photographers a tool that embodies a passion for aesthetics, tactile handling, and intuitive use.
